Moth Control
There are two types of Moths that cause damage to carpets, textiles and wool products. Typical damage is shown on the right. the damage is caused by the feeding larvae not the adult moths. They favour the edges of carpets and under furniture which isn't moved. Damage can be severe if not treated. Control is achieved by treating the adults and larvae with a spray or by trapping the adult males. There is often a nearby source of these moths that if found and eradicated can prevent reinfestation.
The in case moth leaves the larvae cases behind. See photo on right.
There are also types of beetle that damage textiles. A survey is important to establish the cause and source of the problem.
